John is a 3rd year computer science student at UC Riverside. During the summer of 2016, he interned as a software engineer at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, creating 3D visualization software that is now deployed at JPL and NASA Goddard. During this summer, he interned at the Aerospace Corporation as a software engineer, working on a variety of projects, ranging from internal web tools to visualizations. Within UCR, John was elected as the President of the Association of Computing Machinery, and in this position, he manages to connect, challenge, and lead his peers through monthly competitive programming tournaments and is the Director of Citrus Hack, a 36-hour hackathon, inviting over 600 students from across the United States to come to UCR and create the technology of the future. When John is not at school or working, you can find him at a hackathon, working on a web or immersive visualization project.
